Position Overview:As a Respirologist at Burnaby Hospital, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive medical care to our diverse patient population.
We're seeking candidates with a solid background in General Respirology, particularly in the acute care setting. Candidates with previous clinical experience at Burnaby Hospital, and are interested and proficient in providing acute care and on-call general internal medicine coverage, are preferred.
You'll have the chance to participate in various clinical settings, including our Respiratory Rapid Access Clinic, ILD rounds, and pulmonary diagnostics.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for patient care
- Provide respiratory consults within our hospital (as a strictly consultative service)
- Participate in a flexible week-based call and service schedule, sharing responsibilities with colleagues predominantly for weekday coverage
- Perform Respiratory procedures including pleural based procedures, and flexible bronchoscopy
- Engage in pulmonary function test and overnight oximetry interpretation (among others)
- Participate in our Respiratory Rapid Access Clinic
- Participate in our Fraser Health ILD rounds
- Demonstrate excellent leadership, medical administration, interpersonal/communication and teaching skills
