Schlegel Villages is seeking an exceptional Director of the Program for Active Living to join their team at the Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph, Ontario.


About the Role:



  • Provide leadership and direction for the development and evaluation of comprehensive operational policies and programs for the Village PAL program.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including the LHIN, regarding OT/PT services, vendor relations for application resident equipment, and external service providers for additional therapy/exercise programs.
  • Participate in Village interdisciplinary team meetings or committees as appropriate, while communicating and working in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Lead the PAL Coordinator and support PAL Students, Volunteers, and contracted therapy services who assist with the PAL program.

About the Ideal Candidate:



  • Must have a Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on psychomotor behavior and exercise rehabilitation.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
  • Must have a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
