Job Title: Roofer Helper

At SMITH-PEAT ROOFING AND SHEET METAL LTD., we are seeking a reliable and physically capable Roofer Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will assist in various aspects of roofing and construction projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs under the supervision of experienced crew members.
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, ensuring a safe and clean working environment.
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Work Environment:

As a Roofer Helper, you will work outdoors in various locations, often at heights. You must be comfortable with physically demanding tasks, repetitive movements, and handling heavy loads.

Requirements:
  • Steel-toed safety boots are a must for this role.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this position.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
