We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Golden Links Lodge Personal Care Home. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Direct Patient Care: Administer medications, perform wound care, and provide basic nursing care to residents.
- Assess and Evaluate Residents: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify residents' needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
- Document Resident Information: Accurately document resident information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Current LPN License: Must be a licensed practical nurse in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care setting or similar environment is an asset.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, transfer, and move residents with assistance, as needed.
