Job Summary:
The Grocery Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Grocery Department at Federated Co-operatives Limited. This role will ensure that all aspects of the department are running smoothly, efficiently, and in line with the company's core values and brand expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a culture of safety and quality in the Grocery Department, adhering to all relevant health and safety standards and protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to members and guests, ensuring a positive shopping experience and upholding the company's brand expectations.
- Lead and manage a team of team members, including performance management, talent development, engagement, talent acquisition, orientation, and onboarding.
- Oversee the safe and effective operation of the Grocery Department, including scheduling, ordering, receiving, and merchandising of products.
- Ensure accurate ordering and receiving of products, as well as maintaining a high level of image and cleanliness in the department.
- Participate in other projects and assignments as required to support the company's goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of the company's values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork) and ability to demonstrate them in daily work.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Quality communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, for 32-40 hours per week.
