Job Title: Directional Driller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Directional Driller to join our team at Trinity Communication Services Ltd. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for executing drilling operations, coaching and supervising junior technicians, and ensuring the safe installation of telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute drilling operations, including box locating and directional drilling, installation of conduits, pedestals, and concrete bases.
  • Coach and supervise junior technicians and labourers to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Perform all other duties as required by the departmental manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to operate heavy equipment, including mini backhoes, trenchers, winches, compressors, and directional drills.
  • Must be able to safely lift loads of 65 lbs and work in restricted and tight spaces.
  • Must have the flexibility to work in various weather conditions, day, night, or weekends, with possible overnight stays.
  • Must possess a valid Ontario (G and A-Z) driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Must understand and practice defensive driving methods.
  • Must wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment provided as job function dictates.
  • Must attend and participate in all required safety training programs.
