The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team at our Dawson Creek, BC location. As a Field Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining our production wells, liquid separation facilities, and pipeline networks. You'll work closely with our operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations, and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain production wells, liquid separation facilities, and pipeline networks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Troubleshoot process problems and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Monitor field well performance and facility conditions using SCADA systems.
- Maintain superior housekeeping standards throughout the field and facilities.
- Perform minor maintenance and coordinate other maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with operations, maintenance, and management staff.
- Track and maintain key performance indicators such as production, downtime, and production losses.
Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must live within the Dawson Creek or surrounding area.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Minimum 2 years of operational experience.
- Routine operational and maintenance experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in use and application of PC programs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and strong leadership abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to take on a variety of operational challenges.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with proven analytical, trouble shooting, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Ovintiv offers a competitive compensation package, including a hiring salary range of $72,000 - $105,000 CAD. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a retirement savings plan.
