Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Assistant to support our team of Physicians at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Description:

The Clinical Assistant will be responsible for supporting Physicians with in-patient acute care and Emergency Department care at the GPRH. Key duties will include:

  • Assisting with patient admissions, including history taking and limited physical exams
  • Attending to patients in the ED to gather history, review charts, and generate problem lists
  • Responding to concerns from nurses as needed
  • Assessing response to therapies and establishing goals of care with patients
  • Liaising with patient's families and reporting to the most responsible practitioner

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure. A current ACLS & PCLS certification is preferred.

About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive rate of pay and a Remote Retention Allowance in place. The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is a 250-bed acute care facility with a busy emergency department, ICU, NICU, and specialty services.
