Job Summary

Toronto Metropolitan University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to support the performance of our academic programs. As a Graduate Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students by providing exceptional support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality course materials, including written and audio-visual content.
  • Assist in the grading of tests, lab sets, essays, and term papers, as well as proctoring tests, midterms, and quizzes.
  • Provide consultation services to students, including electronic consultation, to support their academic success.
  • Collaborate with the Supervising Instructor to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Participate in mandatory training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Graduate Assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University (if applicable).
  • Enrollment in a Master's or PhD program at Toronto Metropolitan University.
  • Strong writing and visual communication skills, as well as experience with editing written and visual material.
  • Comfortable using online course interfaces and previous experience with this course or a similar one is an asset.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $47.06 per hour for Master's students and $50.82 per hour for PhD students.
