At Owen Hill Community, we're committed to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Recreation Therapist BSO, you'll play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment that fosters social connections and a sense of community.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement recreation therapy programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to recreation therapy assistants to ensure accurate documentation and high-quality programming.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in therapeutic recreation, applying this knowledge to enhance our services.
- University degree in Recreation/Leisure Studies or a related field.
- Member in good standing with Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO).
- Registered Recreation Therapist (R/TRO) or in process of registration with TRO.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with seniors.
- Qualifications must meet definition under MDS-RAI guidelines.
