Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Journeyman to join our team. As a Millwright, you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic production environment, learning new skills and working in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the project manager to manage project installations on time and budget.
  • Provide direction to and supervise contractors working on projects.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Install, align, take apart, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair.
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
  • Inspect new equipment and parts to ensure compliance with purchase orders.
  • Ensure contractor WCB approvals, plant safety program orientation, and confidentiality statements.
  • Work with maintenance and production teams to ensure SOPs and training materials are provided at the time of sign-off on project work.
  • Enforce company policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Promote and facilitate safe work practices and policies.
