Job Title: Food Service Supervisor - Team Lead

At Canada Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor - Team Lead to join our team. This is a permanent position with a 35 to 40 hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and ensure seamless operations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates, making informed decisions to drive business growth.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, informing business decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, streamlining communication and operations.
  • Maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres, staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Establish work schedules, balancing staff needs with business requirements.
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
