This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Planner to join our team. The role involves liaising with internal teams and engaging with Auckland Council, CCOs, and developers on Private Plan Changes related to large-scale development and urban intensification.

The successful candidate will progress Watercare's involvement in these activities with support from the Major Developments Team and wider Watercare teams, including the Water and Wastewater Planning Teams and the Strategic Planning Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on Private Plan Changes related to large-scale development and urban intensification.
  • Progress Watercare's involvement in these activities with support from the Major Developments Team and wider Watercare teams.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in planning and/or resource management.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical RMA Planning role.
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for commercial and residential development (RMA, Building Act, Watercare Bylaw).

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
