Key Responsibilities- Staffing Planning: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
- Job Posting: Prepare and post job notices and advertisements to attract top talent and meet business needs.
- Candidate Sourcing: Collect and screen applicants to ensure they meet the requirements of the job and company.
- Employment Advice: Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment, including job descriptions, salary ranges, and benefits.
- Candidate Evaluation: Review candidate inventories and evaluate candidates based on their skills, experience, and fit for the role.
- Interview Coordination: Coordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates and make hiring decisions.
- Job Offer Preparation: Notify applicants of the results of the selection process and prepare job offers.
- Staffing Policy: Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
- Employee Relations: Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, and negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes.
- Training and Development: Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
The Recruiter - Employment Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Requirements- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
