Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Upholstery Assistant to join our team at Coquitlam Upholstery Shop Ltd. The successful candidate will assist our experienced upholsterers in various tasks related to furniture upholstery and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of materials and products for upholstery and repair tasks.
  • Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Support machine operators and assemblers in the upholstery process.
  • Perform other labouring and elemental activities as required to support the upholstery team.
  • Clean and maintain machines and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn the skills required for the job.
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is required for this position.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude are essential for this role.
