Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

At Extendicare Canada Inc., we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team. As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as feeding and ambulation
  • Support patients with their physical, emotional, and social needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Document patient care and progress in accordance with established protocols
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or equivalent certification
  • Experience working in a long-term care or community home care setting
  • Knowledge of care planning systems and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
