Job Summary

Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership is seeking a skilled Drilling and Well Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for aligning and manipulating sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick, operating and maintaining drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment. In this role, you will work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick
  • Operate and maintain drilling rig diesel motors, transmissions, and other mechanical equipment
  • Assist in setting up, taking down, and transporting drilling and service rigs
  • Handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials
  • Clean up rig areas
Requirements
  • Standard First Aid Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry Training
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Travel and Work Environments

You will work in various locations, including remote areas, and will be required to travel regularly. The work environment will be outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and will involve handling heavy loads and working in a fast-paced environment.
