Lead Pastor Opportunity at Glen Orchard Community Church

Glen Orchard Community Church (GOCC) is seeking a full-time pastor to lead the ministry of this newly re-established church in Muskoka, in conjunction with its board and congregation. As a partner church with The Alliance Canada denomination, we are committed to spreading the message of Jesus throughout Muskoka.

Position Overview

As the Lead Pastor of GOCC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual direction of our community. You will provide pastoral leadership, vision, and guidance to our congregation, fostering a culture of growing the Kingdom with compassion, outreach, discipleship, and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spiritual Leadership: Lead and oversee all aspects of the church's spiritual life, including organizing and coordinating the various ministries and pastoral care.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships within the congregation and the local community, fostering a sense of belonging and outreach.
  • Equip and Empower: Equip and empower members for ministry through discipleship, leadership training, and mentoring.
  • Ministry Development: Develop and implement programs that foster spiritual growth, discipleship, and community engagement.
  • Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate care and support to individuals and families in times of need.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with church leaders and volunteers to achieve our goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Ordained Minister: Possess or seek ordination or licensing as a Christian minister, with a deep commitment to the Christian faith and core doctrines.
  • Pastoral Experience: Have a proven track record of effective pastoral ministry, preferably in a church or ministry setting.
  • Visionary Leadership: Possess leadership qualities, with the ability to develop and implement a compelling vision for the church.
