Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a skilled and experienced Healthcare Recruitment and Retention Specialist to support the Recruitment department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration and a proven track record of successful recruitment and retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting recruitment and retention activities in the Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA) by engaging with NH employees, senior leadership, managers, and prospective students in the local region. This will involve developing and implementing recruitment and retention initiatives, establishing close and productive working relationships with senior leadership, NH employees, communities, and local schools, and ensuring new recruits are supported through the onboarding stages of the employee life cycle.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Business or Healthcare Administration or Human Resources or a relevant discipline, plus three to five years of recent related experience in a large complex unionized environment. Preference will be given to those with local knowledge and experience in healthcare. The successful candidate will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and lead a strategic retention initiative.
