Northern Health Authority is seeking a skilled Recruitment and Retention Ambassador to support the Recruitment department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business or healthcare administration, with experience in a large complex unionized environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting recruitment and retention activities in the Health Service Delivery Area (HSDA) by engaging with NH employees, senior leadership, managers, and prospective students in the local region. They will develop recruitment and retention initiatives for particular communities and/or professions, and establish close and productive working relationships with senior leadership, NH employees, communities, and local schools.
The Recruitment and Retention Ambassador will also be responsible for ensuring new recruits are supported through the onboarding stages of the employee life cycle, while supporting retention of existing professionals. They will maintain consistent contact with local elementary and secondary schools to engage students in future opportunities in healthcare, and contribute to the development of regional practices.
The ideal candidate will have strong research and analytical skills, knowledge of retention and recruitment practices, and the ability to influence change and manage conflict. They will also have effective promotional and marketing skills, and the ability to problem-solve complex issues towards creative solutions.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have a diploma in business or healthcare administration, or a relevant discipline, plus three to five years of recent related experience in a large complex unionized environment. They will also have strong ability to think strategically, lead a strategic retention initiative, and provide client-focused services.
