Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes creating a stimulating and engaging environment that promotes learning and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that meet the needs of children aged 0-12 years
  • Plan and lead activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
  • Supervise and support the development of children's skills and abilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience working with children aged 0-12 years
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Child development supervisor (ECE level 3) or child development worker (ECE level 2) certification
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
  • Experience working with children with special needs
