Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the packaging and processing of shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify Shipping Information: Verify every picking ticket matches the order number on the box to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Shipping Environment: Keep the shipping area tidy and organized to ensure efficient processing of shipments.
  • Meet Shipping Deadlines: Ensure shipments are processed and shipped on schedule to meet customer expectations.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop strong communication skills to effectively interact with other departments and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Operate Shipping Software: Utilize UPS, FedEx, Purolator, and Loomis software to process shipments efficiently and accurately.
  • Understand Commercial Invoices and Freight Orders: Possess a basic understanding of commercial invoices and freight orders to ensure accurate processing and shipping.
  • Package Industrial Electronics and Components: Package industrial electronics and related components for shipment, ensuring they are properly secured and protected.
Performance Metrics
  • Package Handling: Maintain standard processing procedures to ensure accuracy and adjust to volume demands.
  • Processing Counts: Measure and check processing counts for accuracy against standards, ensuring continued accuracy throughout the month.
  • Employee Performance: Evaluate employee performance based on accuracy of orders processed and volume demand.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong Computer Proficiency: Develop strong computer skills to efficiently process shipments and interact with other departments.
  • Ability to Multi-Task: Possess the ability to multitask and work at a fast pace in a dynamic shipping environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Develop strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and prevent errors in shipping and processing.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Possess strong problem-solving skills to effectively resolve issues and ensure timely shipping.
  • Good Communication Skills: Develop strong communication skills to effectively interact with other departments and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
