About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team at Quo Painting Ltd. as an Exterior and Interior Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and applying paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Painting and Finishing: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, using a variety of techniques and tools.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and plan and schedule work to meet deadlines.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and provide expert advice on colours and wall coverings.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, ability to distinguish between colours, and a client-focused approach.
