Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stock Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Stock Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment by collecting shopping carts from the cart corrals, parking lot, and store perimeter, and returning them to a safe storage location.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service: Assist customers with carry outs or carry ins, verify receipts for proof of purchase, and respond promptly to requests at all registers.
  2. Cart Collection and Maintenance: Collect shopping carts from designated areas, maintain Cart Retrieval Log at Customer Service Desk, and ensure necessary logs are completed.
  3. Facilities Maintenance: Follow established guidelines for occasional cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, handling chemicals, and disposing of waste properly.
  4. Safety and Emergency Procedures: Adhere to safety and emergency procedures, including hazardous communications, lockout/tagout, and blood-borne pathogens.
  5. Work Environment: Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to Company policy and procedures.
  6. Personal Protective Equipment: Wear steel toe footwear and the proper reflective vest during cart collection for visibility.
  7. Additional Responsibilities: Complete safety sweeps as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to lift up to 25 pounds. You will also need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
