Engineering Director Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Director to join our team at Adamson Systems Engineering. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of our complex engineering products.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering management, with experience in leading high-performing teams and managing multiple disciplines. You will be responsible for coordinating our Product Roadmap with product managers, facilitating the full product development cycle from concept to launch, and implementing a Stage Gate product development strategy.

You will also be responsible for encouraging a cross-functional mindset between disciplines, establishing a set of attitudes that promote personal growth and quality, and fostering an ethos of continuous improvement in process, product, and production. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and controlling development and operational budgets, driving Design for Manufacturability, and entrenching the mentality of intellectual property development.

The ideal candidate will have a recognized MBA with a B.Eng. or BSE in a relevant engineering field, and 7+ years of experience building and managing high-performing engineering teams. You will also have 10+ years of suitable work experience, exposure to product development for discrete manufacturing, and excellent leadership, communication, and team building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • Recognized MBA with B.Eng. or BSE in relevant engineering field
  • 7+ years building and managing high-performing engineering teams
  • 10+ years suitable work experience
  • Exposure to product development for discrete manufacturing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team building skills
