The Front Desk Agent plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our hotel by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to the Front Office team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and handle administrative tasks such as guest check-in and check-out, resolving guest concerns, and assisting with group arrivals and departures.
  • Adhere to established procedures and policies when completing tasks.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages.
  • Prepare and send courier packages, ensuring accurate billing and records.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Act as an ambassador for Coast Hotels, greeting guests and handling basic inquiries.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric attitude with internal and external contacts.
  • Provide basic data entry and transaction handling services for the Front Office.
  • Input data accurately into the relevant database.
  • Produce statistics and reports on data in standard formats.
  • Report discrepancies in room rates, payment information, and credit arrangements to the relevant manager.
  • Verify the accuracy of daily inputs, including payment transactions, and submit the daily shift audit for review.
  • Handle cash, cheques, credit, and debit card transactions in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Secondary School Diploma.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Beginner-level proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Bondable.
  • Exemplifies Coast Hotels' core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some nights.
