Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the performance of warehouse and delivery teams, ensuring high-quality service and efficient operations.
  • Assist in training and development of new and current employees, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and effective supply chain management.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle count programs and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee delivery fleet and material handling equipment maintenance programs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Manage branch profit and loss statements, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Aid in hiring, employee training, and development, as well as discipline and performance management.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and operational metrics, providing insights for process improvements.
  • Travel between locations as required to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Warehouse management or logistics and supply chain diploma.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with warehouse management systems and radio frequency systems.
  • Current or previous forklift certification and valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational, time management, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Strong health and safety background and ability to facilitate change management within the department.
