About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at Sandhu Optical. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Healthcare Professionals: Provide administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Operate Ophthalmic Equipment: Safely and effectively operate ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments, maintaining accurate records and results.
  • Process Claims: Efficiently process claims for health insurance and workers' compensation, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
  • Supply Management: Maintain a well-stocked inventory of supplies, ensuring our team has the necessary resources to provide excellent patient care.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform general clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping, to support the smooth operation of our practice.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring our patients receive timely and efficient care.
  • Patient History: Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history, maintaining accurate and confidential records.
  • Office Management: Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and appointment scheduling, to create a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring our team has the necessary resources to provide excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week
