About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at 1295322 B.C. Ltd. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat and finish simple food items, serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and take customers' orders.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
  • Support Services: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, and provide mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
