At North York General Hospital, we are committed to excellence in patient care. As a Registered Nurse in our Maternal Newborn Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your goal will be to provide excellent patient and family-driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health. You will also take on the shared responsibility for ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care in the Maternal Newborn Program, including assessment, education, and prevention of health issues.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Ensure that health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
  • STABLE certificate.
  • Perinatal Intensive Care Course preferred.
  • Paediatric Assessment course preferred.
  • Recognized breast feeding course.
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
