About the Role:

MVP Talent Corp is partnering with a leading Archaeological Services company to find an experienced Archaeologist for a leadership position overseeing a team of local archaeologists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of archaeologists in daily duties, providing services to various industries and projects.
  • Mentor junior archaeologists in the field and in general.
  • Access, hold, and complete multiple permits, including HRIAs and HRIMs, across multiple industries and projects.
  • Multitask in juggling between several projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct archaeological work, including digging.

Requirements:

  • Registered Archaeologist in Canada, preferably Alberta registration.
  • 10 years of experience working as an Archaeologist.
  • At least 23 years of leading a team of Archaeologists, with proven mentorship and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience accessing, holding, and completing industry permits.
  • Knowledge of the Historical Resources Act and relevant guidelines and bulletins.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

What We Offer:

A generous base salary of up to approximately $150K, a performance bonus, RSP match of 5%, paid vacation, paid benefits, and the opportunity to work with an AWESOME local team.

This is a permanent, full-time role located in Calgary, Alberta, offered on a hybrid basis.
