Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our ease Cloud Accounting Services team. As a trusted advisor, you will use cutting-edge technology to deliver a full suite of services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions for MNP clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Set up client files and assist with the completion of budgets and administrative planning, providing expert guidance and support.
- Maintain, monitor, and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, and intercompany and point of sale (POS)/system uploads.
- Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, and develop resolutions in collaboration with supervisors or engagement partners.
- Communicate with governments regarding information requests, assessments, and installments, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Work collaboratively with clients and team members to develop and maintain strong relationships, providing exceptional service and support.
Requirements
- Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset.
- 4-10 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
- Experience working with cloud accounting software such as QBO and/or Xero is preferred.
- QBO Basic, QBO Advance, Xero, and other application certifications are considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and processes, including sales taxes (GST, PST, HST), payroll taxes, and corporate tax.
- Experience working with desktop bookkeeping software is beneficial.
