We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pest Control Technician to join our team at Manitoba Housing. As a key member of our Integrated Pest Management Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pest management services in accordance with federal and provincial regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct pest elimination and integrated pest management in Manitoba Housing portfolio locations on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
- Work collaboratively with a team to ensure the effective delivery of pest management services.
- Develop and implement pest management plans to meet the needs of our clients.
- Conduct regular inspections and monitoring to identify and mitigate pest-related issues.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants and the public.
- Valid Structural Pesticide Applicator's license from the Province of Manitoba.
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's license.
- Ability to travel throughout the province by vehicle, small aircraft, and boat.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours as necessary.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, crouching, bending, standing, walking, walking up stairs, working in dusty conditions, and confined spaces.
- Experience in pesticide application, pest inspection, and heat treatment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal effectively with tenants and the public.
- Ability to follow pest management best practices, procedures, regulations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of safe work procedures and safe chemical handling procedures.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of environments, including rural and remote locations. The ability to adapt to changing situations and work independently is essential.
