Job Summary

At Carquest Canada, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our commercial customers, driving business growth, and increasing revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our district leaders, general managers, and other key personnel to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Implement new commercial sales programs and support existing initiatives to drive business growth.
  • Visit assigned accounts to develop sales strategies, identify customer needs, and provide solutions to meet those needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales call activity and customer interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with our store teams to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Provide feedback and insights to business partners on competitive information, merchandising suggestions, and other services to strengthen our market position.
  • Partner with our Professional Parts Pros to develop and retain top talent and support our internal growth and career opportunities.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by region and area leaders, including cleaning, organizing, stocking, operating POS equipment, and truck loading/unloading.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Carquest Canada products and services and the ability to market those products and services to meet customer needs.
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and traditional automotive aftermarket.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and upper management.
  • Strong presentation and verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, percentages, sales increases, and gross profit percent.
  • Ability to review and analyze business reports.
  • Strategic thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and facilitate change.
Requirements
  • Proven sales track record with 3-5 years of related selling experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations: valid driver's license and fleet safety certification.
  • ASE certification preferred but not required.
