Landscape Maintenance Specialist

At Alberta Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Landscape Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor workforce, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various other tasks related to landscape maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with landscape constructions and installations
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and safety
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a healthy and visually appealing landscape
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn maintenance tasks
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep the work site clean and organized
  • Remove litter and garbage to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed
  • Lay sod or seed to establish new lawns and gardens
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty and diversity of our landscapes
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care and attention
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure it is in good working condition

Work Environment:

  • Work outdoors in a variety of settings, including urban and rural areas
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Work in a team environment with a focus on collaboration and communication

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
