Overview

JRoss Recruiters is seeking a Senior Retail Director to lead the expansion of our retail operations across Canada. This role will be responsible for driving growth, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute the overall retail strategy to drive sales and profitability while maintaining brand integrity and customer-centric approach.
  • Oversee day-to-day retail operations across all stores, ensuring operational efficiency, visual merchandising standards, and an exceptional customer experience.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing retail team, including Regional/District Managers and Store Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
  • Drive retail sales targets and key performance metrics by analyzing store performance, customer insights, and market trends, ensuring continuous improvement and business growth.
  • Evaluate new store locations, opportunities for expansion, and market penetration strategies in line with growth objectives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and HR, to implement initiatives that enhance store performance and brand presence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive retail leadership experience in women's fashion/apparel, with at least 5 years in a national or multi-regional leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, manage senior retail leaders, and drive a customer-focused and results-oriented retail strategy.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store performance optimization.
  • Able to develop and execute long-term retail growth strategies that align with broader business objectives.
  • Experience in P&L management, budgeting, and financial analysis, with a focus on driving profitability while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Deep understanding of customer behavior, trends, and expectations in contemporary women's fashion, with a passion for delivering exceptional in-store experiences.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits package, reflecting the seniority of the role and the opportunity to impact the company's retail success across Canada significantly.
