Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Services Superintendent to lead our mine technical and geological staff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering realistic and reliable mining plans, managing production geology and mine engineering activities, and ensuring safe work methods and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Short-Term Planning: Schedule and track mining activities for 0-3 months, plan and design relevant mining activities, and conduct surveying, ventilation, field inspections, and stope reconciliation.
  • Mid-Term Planning: Plan and design conceptual mining plans and associated activities, schedule and track conceptual mining activities for 3-24 months, contribute to the annual mine budget process, and plan, construct, and monitor mine infrastructure.
  • Long-Term Planning: Collaborate with the Corporate Long-term Planning group to prepare annual Mine Reserves and Life-Of-Mine planning of mine operations, ensure mining plans include all applicable infrastructure to comply with local regulations and deliver on business objectives, and support annual strategic business planning process and capital works planning.
  • Production Geology: Plan, design, and coordinate DDH activities to support mine planning, conduct short-term block model estimation, underground mapping, sampling, and grade control of mine production areas, and manage sample assays and databases.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or equivalent discipline-related experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience in Mine Engineering, Mine Operations, and/or Mine Geology, preferably in underground mining environments.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role with exposure to senior supervisory roles and duties.
  • Able to read engineering plans with a good understanding of ground control, mine planning, and geology.
  • Good knowledge of narrow vein and long-hole mining techniques.
  • Good working knowledge of underground mining procedures and maintenance requirements.
