Key Responsibilities
  • Care and Support: Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote independence and dignity.
  • Medical Support: Take patients' vital signs, administer first aid, and perform other medical-related tasks as required.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe environment, including making beds, cleaning, and restocking supplies.
  • Transportation and Escort: Safely transport residents between care facilities and assist with mobility and transfers.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Respond to call signals, communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, and work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a nursing home or home for the aged setting.
  • Certifications and Licenses: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
