Job Summary

The Pharmacy Assistant plays a vital role in the technical aspects of prescription filling and administrative duties at Walmart Canada.

About the Role

This position is responsible for receiving prescriptions from patients, performing computer functions as directed by the Pharmacist, and filling prescriptions under the Pharmacist's supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving prescriptions from patients and assessing them for completeness
  • Performing computer functions, including data entry, price checks, and patient information updates
  • Filling prescriptions, selecting products, and labeling and organizing them for pharmacist checking
  • Maintaining inventory control, assisting the Pharmacist with stock levels, and ordering supplies
  • General housekeeping, stocking prescription supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Clerical organization, filing prescriptions and invoices, and completing administrative support functions

Requirements

  • Age – 16 or older

Preferred Qualifications

We welcome applicants with preferred qualifications, including experience in pharmacy operations and customer service.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year
