Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Extendicare (Canada) Inc. as a Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care.

Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Administer first aid and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Nursing Aide Certificate.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Immunization records.
  • Vulnerable sector check.
  • Tuberculosis test.
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift.
