Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Peter Green Hall Childrens Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes supervising staff, training, and volunteers, leading activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and outings.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including child development progress and program evaluations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community service providers to ensure a comprehensive and supportive environment for children.
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment, including ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Diploma.
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1), Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3), or Child Development Worker (ECE Level 2) certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Basic security clearance and vulnerable sector check.
  • Immunization records and medical exam.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position with 37.5 hours per week. The work environment is outdoors, noisy, and non-smoking, with air conditioning. The work setting is a child care centre in an urban area.
