About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join Scotiabank's team as a Captiva Developer. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying code for C# APIs, Captiva framework definitions, and form creation to support the indexing of business documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across various business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy code for C# APIs, Captiva framework definitions, and form creation.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business functions to resolve complex problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Support one or more highly complex business processes.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in design and development with C#.
  • 3+ years of experience in API programming.
  • 1+ year of experience working with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) or Captiva applications or similar technology such as Kofax.
  • 3+ years of experience working in true Agile lab projects throughout the full SDLC cycle.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate and articulate requirements with Scrum Master, BSAs, other Developers, and Testers in agile labs daily.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Good understanding of DevOps concepts and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline.
  • Experience in the Financial Industry.
  • Experience with ES6/TypeScript/NodeJS.
  • Experience programming with Python.
  • Experience developing REST services.
  • Experience with Swagger and openAPI.
