Building Automation Systems Manager

Holt Renfrew is seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Network Facilities and Maintenance team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our building systems, ensuring optimal energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating and maintaining stationary natural gas/electrical power generating equipment
  • Monitoring and updating Business Automated Systems (BAS) to support carbon footprint reduction
  • Supporting the Capital Projects team to identify energy conservation opportunities
  • Ensuring control stations and mechanical devices are running well and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintaining logbooks, maintenance forms, and CMMS entries
  • Producing reports and records of operational, maintenance, and safety activities
  • Acting as a support in the event of problems or anomalies
  • Receiving general alarms/trips and taking appropriate action
  • Working with the Network and Construction teams on shutdowns, drawing review, and commissioning orientation
  • Coordinating activities of external service providers
  • Supporting and monitoring energy procurement opportunities and utilities commodity markets
  • Attending and participating in meetings, professional development training, and departmental orientation programs

The ideal candidate will have a power generation and/or facilities background of at least 2-5 years, with experience in BAS and a strong understanding of engine, generator, and compressor performance and operations. They will also possess a well-rounded knowledge of building drawings and technical manuals, as well as strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
