Job Title: Vehicle Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

Randstad Canada is seeking an experienced Vehicle Assembly Technician to join our team in London, ON. As a Vehicle Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing assembly tasks on vehicles, including rebuilding and retrofitting, while working under the supervision of a qualified technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Rebuild / Retrofit tasks and other general assembly duties under the supervision of a qualified technician
  • Clean vehicles and parts as directed by a trained technician
  • Assist technicians in other functional areas as required
  • Prepare vehicles for interior and exterior painting by scuffing applicable surfaces, employing proper masking techniques, and removing rust
  • Understand and apply company safety policies and relevant Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation, and Code
  • Report any accidents, incidents, and near misses and injuries
  • Follow company medical and first aid procedures
  • Use safe work procedures


Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient communication, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Experience working with teams and/or customers
  • Able to work swing shift
  • Able to work in confined spaces and perform physical tasks, including lifting and climbing
  • Able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined spaces
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • College diploma
    • Experience in a shop/manufacturing environment



Physical Demands:

As a Vehicle Assembly Technician, you will be required to perform various physical tasks, including standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, crouching, bending, lying down, and reaching at working heights ranging from below floor level to overhead. You will also be required to work in confined spaces and climb on/off vehicles, which may include climbing through roof hatches, rear openings, and/or the driver's hatch.
