About the Role

Foyer Savoie Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aide to join our team. As a Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in a nursing home/home for the aged setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, including accompanying them on outdoor recreational activities.
  • Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, and setting up medical equipment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Take patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any concerns to nursing staff.
  • Deliver meals and snacks to patients, promoting a positive dining experience.
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Answer call signals and respond to patients' needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting patient autonomy and dignity.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
  • Fluency in English or French, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
