As a clinic nurse, you'll provide top-notch patient care services in a workplace that encourages patient-centered care.
You'll apply your assessment, clinical, and interpersonal skills in a supportive environment that prioritizes patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer specialized IV and injection therapies;
- Receive and review physician's orders;
- Perform patient assessments;
- Initiate IV lines;
- Perform phlebotomy;
- Perform injections and self-injection teaching;
- Perform general health and medication teaching;
- Provide patient care by utilizing observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching;
- Observe and document client conditions according to Coverdale Infusion Clinics Inc. standards;
- Provide direction, support, and delegation to Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses as appropriate;
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting;
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body;
- Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes;
- Excellent intravenous skills required;
- Training and experience with CVADs will be seen as an asset;
- Must have current BCLS certification;
- Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to client care; able to visually and auditorily observe and assess clients;
- Experience in biologics/infusions will be considered an asset.
