McGill University Department of Diagnostic Radiology invites applications for a Clinical Professor position.

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional clinician with expertise in abdominal and interventional radiology to join our team at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). As a full-time professor, you will be responsible for providing clinical teaching and supervision to residents and medical students, pursuing scholarly activities, and contributing to the department's research and academic mission.

About the Department:

The MUHC is one of Canada's leading hospitals, affiliated with McGill University. It features state-of-the-art imaging facilities, including four 3T MRI systems, five 1.5T MRI systems, two PET-CT scanners, 10 CT scanners, and 30 ultrasound units. Our department offers a dynamic and supportive environment, with opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care as a diagnostic radiologist, focusing on abdominal and non-vascular interventions
  • Teach and supervise residents and medical students in imaging procedures and techniques
  • Pursue scholarly activities, such as research and publication, to advance clinical care or clinical research
  • Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with McGill University's values and goals
  • Maintain active participation in professional organizations and committees, promoting excellence in the field of diagnostic radiology

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold an MD or MD/PhD degree or equivalent
  • Candidates must be certified in Diagnostic Radiology (Royal College or equivalent) and have completed a formal fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Nonvascular Intervention
  • Candidates should demonstrate potential to become an outstanding clinician, teacher, and scholar in the fields of US, CT, MRI, and non-vascular interventions
  • Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec
  • Leadership experience and administrative skills are considered an asset
