Senior Living Community Administrator

CompensationThe estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team at Aspira Waterford Barrie Retirement Living. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all administrative expenses, monitoring budgets, and working closely with the Executive Director/General Manager to identify areas for improvement.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. They will also possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage and monitor all administration expenses, assist in explaining monthly variances, and work with the Executive Director/General Manager to identify corrective action.
- Maintain petty cash system with accurate recording of cash distributed and receipts/signed vouchers for each transaction.
- Enter and update all accommodation rates and miscellaneous monthly billing charges as applicable.
- Receive invoices and packing slips and ensure they are matched with invoices and checked and coded by department heads.
- Reconcile Trust account monthly and forward to head office.
- Manage concierge/reception team members and assign duties, if applicable.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A bookkeeping certificate or accounting courses from a Community College, and proven office administration skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with WORD, Excel, email, internet use, and computerized documentation.
