As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to our ready-mix trucks, ensuring they are in top condition to meet the demands of our customers. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and resolving issues, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of ready-mix trucks through preventative and scheduled maintenance.
  • Remove, rework, and install various engine and chassis components.
  • Utilize leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns.
  • Order required parts and maintain a parts inventory.
  • Document repairs on work orders and complete inspection sheets as required.
  • Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on equipment availability.
  • Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment.
  • Follow shop procedures and company policies relating to the use of shop and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid 310T Mechanic License.
  • Valid Class 'G' Driver's License.
  • Sound working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors, and air brake systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel to local sites as required.
