Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Preventive Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on our fleet of vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
  • Conduct pre-inspection checks on vehicles to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Use proprietary electronic tools to track and manage maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest maintenance techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment:

The work involves manual labor and the ability to work safely and to be alert at all times. You may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves or shields.
